Design Team Lead
Who We Are
We’re an Edinburgh-based iGaming studio creating games that challenge conventions and leave a lasting impression on players. With a growing team of 70, we combine creative vision with player psychology, data and decades of industry experience to deliver high-quality, engaging experiences.
We’re doing something different. We’re reinventing Crash and Arcade digital Casino gaming to create immersive and unforgettable experiences for our players in a market saturated in slot games. Innovation, collaboration, and craftsmanship drive everything we do, and supported by a culture that values knowledge, wellbeing, and growth, we’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
The Role
We’re looking for a Design Team Lead who knows how to keep creative teams moving while empowering the team around them. Someone who keeps work flowing, teams aligned, and ideas moving from concept to reality – even jumping in to lend a hand when deadlines get tight.
As a growing creative studio we are on a mission to adapt and refine our processes, while also standing strong in our dedication to maintain a fun, supportive and human culture. So, if you have enthusiasm for nurturing creative teams, collaborating to bring ideas to life, and delivering innovative products, we’d love to hear from you!
As Design Team Lead, you’ll facilitate day-to-day execution across the team, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard. Reporting to the Creative Director, you’ll provide clear visibility on design progress, issues and team performance, and own and evolve team processes and ways of working to optimise production pipelines. You’ll stay close to the work, taking a hands-on approach across commercial and product design, stepping in to support delivery when needed. You’ll also help us bridge strategy and execution through sharper processes, better knowledge sharing, and a team that’s set up to do their best work.
This role is a blend of people leadership and hands-on support – suited to someone who enjoys being part of a creative team, building the conditions for great work, and keeping things moving even when it’s busy.
If you’re organised, adaptable, and the kind of person who stays steady when things move fast, this could be the role for you!
What You’ll Be Doing
• Facilitate execution of design work across projects – keeping handoffs clean, briefs aligned, and deliverables on track.
• Line manage and support a cross-discipline team of 5 creatives including regular 1-on-1’s, appraisals, growth and progression.
• Be the go-to person for support, process, unblocking and the hands-on day-to-day design work needed to support the studio.
• Contribute to hands-on craft production work where necessary, supporting the team from all perspectives and collaborating fluidly.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Delivery and Product Manager to ensure progress is tracked and communicated across departments, and processes are successfully embedded and effective.
• Maintain a creative and motivated team culture under the guidance of the Creative Director and provide mentorship where needed to encourage growth and collaboration.
• Own and scale process and team dynamics as the studio grows, consistently anticipating future needs and revising process effectively when needed.
• Identify resource gaps, bottlenecks and risks and present these alongside potential solutions to the Creative Director before they become critical.
• Lead hiring and onboarding processes for Lead level and below – partnering with the Creative Director for final decisions.
• Manage resources and tools across the department, ensuring the team have what they need to do their best work.
